Speltips Haiti - Nya Zeeland

The World Cup's two worst teams?

New Zealand (ranked 85) and Haiti (ranked 83) will play a friendly in Florida on Wednesday morning, perhaps I'll be the only one in Sweden watching it...?

I won't hide the fact that I'm from New Zealand and may be a little biased for this match but hear me out.

New Zealand beat 54th ranked Chile in their last outing (4-1 might I add). Last year, they also drew 1-1 with Norway (mostly their B side) and also managed a 1-0 win over Ivory Coast. Pretty positive results for a team that is 1501 times the money to win the World Cup.

The thing is, Wednesday morning's opponents Haiti are half as likely to achieve the same feat (at least according to Bet365 which has them as the tournament's longest chance at 3001 in odds). Their only wins in the last year have come against 131 ranked Nicaragua and 51 ranked Costa Rica.

Not huge differences perhaps but still enough to give me the confidence to back the Kiwis who will likely be fielding a near full strength side to take on the Haitians.

P.s. If you want some more Haiti-bashing from this New Zealander then just know that Haiti have only competed in one World Cup before, New Zealand have been in two. Haiti scored two goals and conceded 14 at their last World Cup, losing all three games. New Zealand scored two and conceded two, drawing all three games... you tell me who's better.
