Stats don't lie

Just like my grandma used to say, when Belgium's playing bet over the corner line...

Belgium's matches average 11.21 corners (last 40) with an over rate of 79%. This includes 14 corners as a team in their 5-0 thrashing of Tunisia last time out. In fact, in eight of their last 13 matches they've got at least nine corners as a team, with seven of these matches having ten or more corners for Belgium.

Egypt's matches average just 8.32 corners. This is much lower than Belgium's matches but they can concede many corners including 11 against Spain, six against Senegal, and seven against South Africa since Christmas.

With Iran and New Zealand still to come, both teams will know that this game could well decide the winner of the group. I expect Belgium to dominate and the corners to flow, over 9.5 corners at 1.93 is the bet.
