Out to prove a point

Wales (ranked 37 in the world) are playing in Cardiff against world cup qualified Ghana (ranked 74) and will undoubtedly be out to prove a point.

Wales' matches average just over 10 corners (last 40) while Ghana's average 7.83.

As a team, Wales has earned the following corner totals in their last ten matches: 5, 5, 9, 7, 6, 2, 3, 6, 5, and 12. That 2 came against England with their highest corner totals coming against their weakest opponents (9 against North Macedonia, 7 and 12 against Liechtenstein).

For their part, Ghana conceded 9 corners to both Mexico and Germany in their last two matches while getting 3 and 4 corners themselves. In fact, they've earned 4 or more corners in eight of their last twelve matches.

All of this bodes well for Wales to go out and try to prove themselves at home to a weaker side that is going to the World Cup they failed to qualify for. As such, my bet is on an attacking game with over 8.5 corners at 1.83.
